Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the characteristics of applying for Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) and Team Games Tournament (TGT) in developing learning management on Factorization of Second Degree Polynomials 2) to study mathematics learning achievement and 3) to study group work behaviors of students. The sample in this research consisted of 27 Mattayomsuksa two students who were studying in the second semester of the academic year 2020 that was selected by cluster random sampling at Ongkharak Demonstration School. The instruments used in this study were mathematics lesson plans, mathematics achievement test, group work behavior assessment forms by teacher and students. The data were analyzed in terms of mean, standard deviation, percentage, and t-test statistic. The results of the research found as follow: 1) the characteristics of learning activity by applying for Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) and Team Games Tournament (TGT) in developing learning management on Factorization of Second Degree Polynomials consisted of 6 steps: (1) present the problems, (2) analyze data and solve problems (3) present the answer and reasons (4) discuss the answer (5) competition and (6) conclusion.  2) Most of the students had mathematics learning achievements after learning was higher than 60% at the .05 level of significance. 3) Most of the students had the results in group work behavior assessment by teacher and students at a high level.
