The Study of Management Methods in Agricultural Product Distribution from Mae Salongnok Subdistrict, Mae Far Luang District, Chiang Rai Province to the Markets in Upper Northern Thailand

Abstract

 This research aims to study and analyze management methods in agricultural product distribution from Mae Salongnok subdistrict to agricultural product markets in Upper Northern Thailand. This research is a qualitative project. The researchers find potential agricultural products in economy of Mae Salongnok subdistrict, collect distribution data from deep interview and focus group discussion with the sample group. The results show that potential agricultural products are coffee, salad vegetables, plum, peach, tea, and local vegetables. For fresh coffee fruits and fresh tea leaves will be dried before selling them to buyers both in the area and outside Mae-Salong Nok subdistrict. About salad vegetables, plum, peach and local vegetables, most farmers sold them in fresh fruits and vegetables to buyers both in the area and outside Mae-Salong Nok subdistrict, too. This research also shows some distribution patterns of each agricultural products and some weakness methods in agricultural product distribution of Mae Salongnok subdistrict.
