Effect of Flipped Classroom Approach on Comparative and Superlative of the Grade 8 Students at Takpittayakom School

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the outcome before and after using Flipped Classroom approach in Comparative and Superlative of English 4 of grade eight students and to study the satisfaction of grade eight students on using Flipped Classroom approach in Comparative and Superlative of English 4. The sample was grade 8.11 students at Takpittayakom school, Tak province. There were 41 students selected by purposive sampling. The research instruments consisted of 1) a lesson plan on Flipped Classroom approach and taught for 7 hours and 2) one pretest and posttest; objective test 20 items. Statistical analysis of this study composed of Mean (), Standard Deviation (S.D.) and t – test.

The finding revealed that posttest score toward Flipped Classroom approach was higher than pretest score which is statistically significant at .01 level. The average score in pretest was 5.73 and average score in posttest was 6.92. Students were satisfied Flipped Classroom approach at a high level (= 4.15).
