The Management Guidelines of Community Enterprises in Local Weaving Groups of Nakhon Phanom Province

The purposes of this research were 1) to study the current state of community enterprise management in local weaving groups of Nakhon Phanom Province, 2) to study factors affecting the success of community enterprise management, 3) to compare the management of community enterprise, and 4) to propose the management guidelines for community enterprise. It was a combination of qualitative and quantitative research. Quantitative samples were 345 community enterprise members in local weaving groups of Nakhon Phanom Province registered with the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Agriculture Office were obtained by simple random sampling and qualitative samples of interviews with 20 key informants were obtained by using the purposive random sampling. The instrument used in collecting data was questionnaire. The statistics used were frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation, finding the relationship between the variables with Pearson’s correlation coefficient and multiple linear regression analysis. Hypotheses were tested by using t-test and F-test statistics and interviews. The research finding were as follows: (1) The current state of community enterprise management in local weaving groups of Nakhon Phanom Province in the overall were at the highest level. (2) Factors affecting the success of management community enterprise in local weaving groups of Nakhon Phanom Province in statistically significant at the .05 level, sorted from the variables that affected the variation in dependent variables and in the form of standard scores, most to least as follows: the factors of support and promotion from the government (X1 Beta = .038), labor factors (X2 Beta = .033), factors of community strength (X4 Beta = -.010) (3) Community enterprise management in local weaving groups of Nakhon Phanom Province classified by personal factors, in overall and personal aspects were statistically significant at the .05 level. (4)Guidelines for management of community enterprises in local weaving groups of Nakhon Phanom Province which were groups should have objectives, regulations, rules or rules for group work in writing, joining the group could generate real income for group members, sharing profits with members fairly, documenting income-expenses clearly, accurately and verifiably. Group leaders had to have leadership qualities in organizing regular member meetings as appropriate and necessary, opening for new members to help in marketing and customers, members had unity and participation in the group's activities, promoting the products of the group to be known to find new markets, relevant government agencies should continuously and seriously promote knowledge on group management.
