Development of academic achievement of Mathayom 2 students at Kok Lam Phan Witthaya School using the group process learning activity model

Abstract
This research aims to compare the academic achievement of the subject of Citizenship, Culture and Social Life on the topic of Social Institutions of Mathayom 2/1 students of Khok Lam Phan Witthaya School. The group process method was used. The subjects were 49 Mathayom 2 students of Khok Lam Phan Witthaya School, 1 class, who studied Social Studies in the first semester of the 2017 academic year. The research instruments consisted of (1) a learning management plan on Social Institutions, (2) a pre- and post-test on Social Institutions achievement test, and (3) statistical analysis of data using arithmetic mean and standard deviation.
The research results found that the academic achievement on Social Institutions after studying using the group process was significantly higher than before studying at a statistical level of .05. To study the satisfaction with learning of students who were satisfied with the teaching of Social Institutions by using the group process learning activities of Mathayom 2 students of Khok Lam Phan Witthaya School. Overall, the satisfaction was at a high level ( = .88 S.D. = .11). When considering each item, it was found that the item with the highest mean was: Satisfied with the learning atmosphere that made students take responsibility for themselves and the group and satisfied with the learning activities that were appropriate for the content ( = 4.42) and the item with the lowest mean value was satisfied with the learning activities that made students dare to think and dare to answer ( = 4.10).
