Abstract
This research aims to study the level of public participation in “road safety in Bang Khu, Bang Khu Subdistrict, Tha Wung District, Lop Buri Province”. Data were collected using a questionnaire from 368 people living in Bang Khu Subdistrict, Tha Wung District, Lop Buri Province. The questionnaires were distributed to the sample group by themselves and then the data were checked for accuracy and completeness. When all the questionnaires were returned, the data were analyzed using a ready-made program.
The research results found that in terms of public participation in decision-making, the public had moderate opinions on this issue. When considering the most opinions on this issue, ranked from most to least, it was found that they participated in the decision-making process to participate in various projects or activities freely. The second most popular was the participation in the decision-making process to approve various community projects/activities, such as traditions, sports, etc., and the last most popular was the participation in the decision-making process to select the community development approach, in which the public had the least participation. In terms of public participation in community development, the public had moderate opinions on this issue. In terms of public participation in joint benefits, the public had moderate opinions on this issue. In terms of public participation in implementation, It was found that the public had a low opinion on this issue.
