Abstract
This academic article aims to analyze and synthesize forest resource management policies in Thailand. It is found that they play an important role in maintaining the ecological balance and promoting sustainable development. This article studies the evolution of forest policies in Thailand, their current management, and the challenges they face. Forest policies have changed from emphasizing economic utilization to conserving and restoring natural resources. Conservation approaches include preventing encroachment, restoring degraded forests, and promoting community participation. This article also explores policy implementation challenges, such as climate change, encroachment and deforestation, resource and budget scarcity, and lack of cooperation and use of new technologies. This study highlights the importance of public participation, creating incentives for conservation, using technology in forest management, and building cooperation among agencies and organizations. Recommendations for improving Thailand’s forest policy include increasing budget and resources, promoting public participation, developing strategies to cope with climate change, and using new technologies and innovations to ensure sustainable and effective forest conservation and restoration.
