Development of English Listening Comprehension Skills Using Connection Theory via TikTok Application for Mathayom 1 Students

Abstract

This research aims to 1. Study the efficiency of the research tool process and study the efficiency of the results of Mathayom 1 students after learning through the TikTok application. 2. To develop educational achievement in English listening comprehension skills using the TikTok application connection theory for Mathayom 1 students. The population and sample consisted of 299 Mathayom 1 students, purposively selected as a classroom, which had students with average academic achievement of good, average, and weak. From asking the mentor teachers, it was found that most of the students in this classroom still had weak English communication scores. The data were analyzed by taking the pre- and post-test scores of the sample group to find the mean and standard deviation.


The research results found that the total score during the study was 40 points, of 30 Mathayom 1 students, which was 902 points, and the post-test score was 30 points, which was 737 points. When analyzed to find the efficiency of the tool, it was 80.08 and the efficiency of the results was 81.89, which was higher than the 80/80 criteria. From the consideration, it was found that the tool used in the experiment was effective in developing reading comprehension skills, with efficiency according to the criteria set. The average satisfaction assessment of the sample group after developing learning using the connection theory through the TikTok application for Mathayom 1 students was 4.56, which was at the highest level of satisfaction.
