Abstract

Developing listening skills using the Audio Lingual teaching method using English songs through the Kahoot program. Listening skills are very important. They are skills that occur before speaking. In a correct conversation according to the communication process, the listener must understand what the speaker says. Most learners think that the reason for not understanding is the pronunciation. But in fact, listening problems come from many causes, such as pronunciation, sentence structure, and background knowledge. In addition, learners lack practice in listening skills, are not motivated, and lack listening techniques. To develop listening skills, learners should try to use English as much as possible, especially listening. They must find opportunities to listen as much as possible from radio, TV, videos, and movies. To find opportunities to practice listening for real, Audio Lingual learning is a teaching method that emphasizes learning foreign languages ​​through repeated practice until it becomes a habit. It teaches listening and speaking skills before reading and writing. The language used for teaching will be the language that native speakers use in everyday life. It emphasizes learners understanding the structure of the language, which will be inserted through conversations used in teaching. In addition, it also enhances knowledge of music culture, which is a type of literature. It is an artistic work that comes from human creativity. It is a medium for conveying emotions, feelings, and thoughts, using language as a tool with music as a component. It is beautiful, joyful, fun, exciting, sad and uplifting. Therefore, music plays a very important role and value to society. Music and language learning.
