Performance of hotel employees in Chonburi Province

Abstract
The objectives of this survey research were to study 1) personal factors of hotel personnel in Cholburi who were target population under study 2) their operational efficiency 3) motivation factors 4) and compare their viewpoints on motivation factors and their operational efficiency based upon their personal factors 5) the relationship between motivation factors and their operational efficiency. Samples included 384 hotel personnel in Cholburi. Questionnaire was used as a tool to collect the data. Outcome of the study revealed that mean scores for operational efficiency were highest on a given rating scale in every aspect while work expectation and work satisfaction, the two aspects of motivation factors, scored highest. The study also indicated that hotel personnel with different age, education, position/ division, monthly income did differ in their viewpoints of operational efficiency while personnel with different sexes, marital status, working experience, discipline did not differ in their viewpoints on operational efficiency at 0.05 level of significance.
