A study of the problems of implementing family education in Phuket Province

Abstract
The objective of this research was to study problems, desires and recommendations of providing family education in Phuket Province. 50 parents and teachers of families providing education in Phuket Province were selected as the population for this study. Five level-rating scale questionnaires with open-ended questions were used as the instruments for collecting data. Frequency, percentage, means, standard deviations, content analysis and description were used for data analysis. The research findings are as follows:
Overall problems of providing family education in Phuket Province were at moderate level. In terms of examining in each component of the problems, it was ranked according to the means from more to less as asking permission for providing family education was at much level, Furthermore, it could have been applied to enhance supervisors to supervise and evaluate family education in both formally and informally. They also desired officers who were able to guide and advise parents who wanted to provide family education relevant to their lifestyles as well as planning flexible education provision in accordance with criteria and application of basic education core curriculum 2551 B.E. for the target group. Furthermore, family education providers recommended that the government should support budgets for proactive public relations in various forms to encourage families interested in providing education register as well as focus on broad education. They also recommended that parents and people should be improved of educational knowledge and interest in order to raise up their participation so that learners have various choices and it will be able to encourage creative competition.
