Job satisfaction of employees of the Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Krabi Province

Abstract
The objectives of this research on job satisfaction on the part of Subdistrict Administrative Organization (SAO) personnel in Krabi Province were to 1) study personal factors of personnel, supporting factors and job satisfaction of personnel 2) study job satisfaction of personnel based upon their personal factors. Samples included 340 personnel working for SAO in Krabi province. Questionnaire was used as a tool to collect the data. Statistics used in this study included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation.
Outcome of the study revealed that 1) the scores on job satisfaction of personnel at SAO office in Krabi province, overall, were moderate. These included job satisfaction on infrastructure , quality of life support, community rules and regulations, society, security, planning, investment in commerce and tourism, management and conservation of natural resource and environment , religion, arts, culture, traditions, local wisdom. Management and supporting of central government and SAO's activities were highly satisfactory. 2) personnel with different sex, age, working experience did differ in their job satisfaction while personnel with different education, position, monthly income did not differ in their job satisfaction at 0.05 level of significance. 3) job satisfaction of Krabi SAO's personnel was not correlated to working competency at 0.05 level of significance. Job satisfaction was correlated to human resource management with respect to career advancement but the relationship was low. On the other hand, job satisfaction was moderately correlated to bonding with one's organization. These are based upon 0.01 level of significance.
