Abstract

A study about problems of juvenile delinquency in the Greater Bangkok, the objectives of this study are to find out 1. The statistical data of juvenile delinquency since 1965-1977, 2. Characteristics of juvenile delinquency and 3. Causes of juvenile delinquency Evidence from the study reveals that juvenile delinquency in the Greater Bangkok tends to increase year if no measures are applied against it. The findings show that the major causes of juvenile delinquency are the children’s family status, emotional upset, environmental conditions, and the influence of some bad friends. The findings also show that good rearing practices and right environmental conditions will help decrease the juvenile delinquency, and that right treatments should be practiced in all levels of age-groups from very small children to elementary and higher education levels.
