Abstract

Measures in crime prevention can be classified into two types. The first type is a physical measure. It uses the visible instruments such as men, dogs, or other animals including some kinds of plants for the purpose of prevention. These instruments can make difficulties against the happenings of crime. The second one is the social measure. It uses the social institutions such as families, churches, schools, and other social institutions including the criminal justice system for such purpose. These institutions have their functions in training the people to know what is bad and what is good. The effectiveness of the crime prevention depends on the seriousness in using the two measures concurrently.
