Abstract

The scope of the research will be confined to the relationship between Buddhism and Japanese culture : the politics, philosophy, society, art and literature, morality, and ethics etc., It will illustrate the evolution of the impact of Buddhism on Japanese society. Since the Japanese are so smart that they can Japanize whatever they are interested. Accordingly, the Japanese Buddhism at present is much different from the former. However, it is undeniable to say that if Buddhism is eliminated from Japan, Japan will be definitely left as a deserted land.
