Kasetmuban Leader Role to Increase Agricultural Community Capacity
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to find out strategies for Kasetmuban leardership role promotion in T&V system, supported by DOAE. To conduct this research three hundred and eighty five Kasetmuban were purposively selected from sub-district where one stop service center were set in 1999. Questionaires were instructed in detail, focusing on the social status and their role on building good relationship for contributing agricultural issue, management, cooperation, monitoring and agricultural development activities or projects evaluation, then analysed by the use of SPSS program for percentage, Chi square test, Pearson product moment correlation and reliability. Result showed that : Kasetmuban had no experience on setting up technical cooperation developing village within sub-district level. Besides, there was significant relationship between some experiences and the number of Kasetmuban who had done the role, as participation in one stop service showed positive effect on every role, while higher level of education had positive effect on management, but group's leader period had negative effect on cooperation. According to these findings, the strategy, in short term, was to support them to build up Technical Cooperation Developing Village by participatory learning process, emphasized on management, data analysis, monitoring together with evaluation and agricultural issue contributing system, then, net work construction among sub-district, district and province should be focusing, afterwards.
