A Development of Virtual Web Aided Teaching and Learning on "The Personage of Thailand" for Secondary School Students

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to develop the virtual web aided teaching and learning on "The Personage of Thailand" for lower secondary students; to compare students achievement before and after using the virtual web aided teaching and learning; and to study the students opinions towards the virtual web. Thirty students were purposively selected from Matthayomsuksa 1, 2 and 3 students at Surasakmontri school in the 2001 academic year. After giving the pretest, the virtual web on "The Personage of Thailand" was fulfilled. Then the posttest was administered to the sample group. The data were analyzed through the application of the percentage, mean, standard deviations, t-test and ANOVA. The results of this research showed that there was a significant difference between the pretest and the posttest at the .05 level which the posttest scores of achievement was higher than those of pretest and there was no significant difference between Matthayomsuksa 1, 2 and 3 students. The students had good opinions towards using the virtual web aided teaching and learning on "The Personage of Thailand".
