Abstract

The evaluation of elementary music curriculum utilizing Kodaly’s and Orff’s methods was administered. Students of grade 4 sight-sang and played recorders from tunes in C and F. The performance was evaluated by experts. The results showed that students were well – trained. They read music fluently enough, except for the notes of fa and ti which were still out of tune. They were good at rhythm and theory. They could play recorders efficiently. Their parents showed strong satisfaction appreciation towards the curriculum.
