The Development of Critical Thinking Skills of Social Studies Teachers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to construct learning packages for developing critical thinking skills of social studies teachers. The subjects were 15 graduate students in Social Studies Program of Kasetsart University in the 1992 academic year. After pretest, the learning packages were experimented with the subjects for 36 hours. After posttest, data analysis indicated that the posttest scores were statistically higher than that of the pretest at the .01 level of significance. The subjects showed the capability of knowledge, attitude, and lesson-plan construction. This the learning packages were significantly efficient for developing social studies teachers, critical thinking skills.
