An Achievement Study on Development Process of the Villages Contest in 1986.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the opinion, attitude, value, beliefs of the people in the area of the successful village, the result of rural development which Community Development Department, Ministry of interior had operate in fiscal year1986 (2529) and the problem of rural development in politics, education, economics and social concerned about the jobs, transfer of the people from rural area to town area, the security in life and belongings and community development. The result of the study revealed that the village was awarded the prize for outstanding development in the village contest both at the provincial and regional levels in fiscal year 1986 (2529) was the village of successful development, cleanliness mostly every where, village peacefulness and amenities, change in physical environment in term of improvement. Literacy of people in ages of 14-50 and number of people having more educated than compulsory over 10 percent, farmers knew how to plant rotatable crops in their occupation, how to use fertilizer for increasing product, concentrate to improve high breeding in domestic animals and varieties of plants. Farmers’ awareness to practice on farm management, to use land for plantation and animal raising together suitably, to organize group and practice cooperative basis for commercial or business purpose. Less than 10 percent of the mobilizing people. Outstanding characteristics of effective leader, strong groups and organizations and cooperative people could be seen.
