Abstract

The study on 319 farmers in Kanphaengsaen District was conducted by using questionnaire. The result may be summarized that the Technological innovations adopted by the farmers were certified seeds, drying after harvest and cleaning by thresher. For the 4- year storage seed, separated seed bed, fertilizer application, and appropriate harvesting time, few farmers had adopted and practice those technologies correctly. It was found that technology transfer was respectively effective through individual contact; cousin neighbors subdistric extension agents. Through group contact, meeting was mostly used but technology transfer through mass media was uneffective because most farmers read newspaper, listented to radio, and watched television only during news and amusing programmes. Recommendations from this research were, government should supply more basic minimum-needs factor of farming such as irrigation system, reasonable prices of recommended seed, quality and price control of fertilizer and chemical. The matter of technology transfers through group contact and reinforce with individual contact were recommended. Television should play more roles by insinuated agricultural knowledge, marketing and price of production in the news and amusing programme.
