Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze whether the enforcement of the third party liability in motor insurance, requiring all the vehicles to be insured like what other Asian countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, The Philippines, Japan and the Republic to Korea is feasible. To conduct this research, we try to collect the data from people who reside in Bangkok where heavy traffic is evident. Based on the Simple Random Sampling Method, 250 car owners and 250 pedestrians were interviewed. In addition, people from the top 20 out of 57 insurance companies which motor business were invited to share their thoughts. It was shown that more than 90% of the above mentioned people agreed with this proposal and they want to urge the government to enforce this law as soon as possible. In particular, this conclusion is widely accepted by all the insurance companies which are now in full swing to enforce insurance with all the vehicles registered in this country.
