Abstract

The objective of this study was to construct a slide-tape presentation for developing the competencies of agriculture teachers in secondary schools on the topic of “Measurement and Evaluation in Teaching”. The constructed slide-tape was tested with the agriculture teachers whose previous training was not in teacher education. Simple random sampling of 79 agriculture teachers was employed. Statistical analysis used were percentage, mean score, standard deviation, and t-test. Regard to the findings, a significant difference was found when the achievement was compared between before and after the slide-tape presentation. It was recommended that slide-tape presentation in other topics, such as teaching methods and teaching skills, should be constructed in order to develop the teaching competencies of agriculture teachers in secondary schools.
