The Opinions Toward Work-Oriented Education of Matayomsuksa Three Students Attached to the Demonstration Schools of the Bureau of University Affair in Bangkok Metropolis

The purposes of this research were to study : (1) The general information of matayomsuksa three students ; (2) the arranged situation of work-oriented education in the schools, (3) the students’ opinion toward work-oriented education, and (4) comparing the opinions toward-oriented education between male and female students. The sample group was 500 matayomsuksa three students randomly selected with 250 male and 250 female students. The data were collected by giving students questionnaires to answer and were analyzed by using the percentage, the means, and the chi-square. The results showed that : (1) most of the students have been studying in the schools since the pratomsuksa one. Their guardians’ status was middle class and their occupation was the government service. The students would continue their education at the university after graduating from matayomsuksa three; (2) most of the students studied work-oriented education according to the subject provided by the school’ and home-economic appeared to be the most selected one; (3) most of the students agreed with the opinions toward work-oriented education that it helped the students to understand work-oriented education better, to search for their career better, to organize better when working, to encourage students to search for their own ability and think more creatively, to solve problem with the principles and reasons, to promote students’ skill and provide prerequisite knowledge in developing their daily lives better, to decrease their tension from studying other subjects, to understand other careers better, and to choose their careers correctly; and (4) there was a significant difference between males and females’ opinions at the .05 level in the 12 items from 25 items.
