Abstract

     The monograph aims at providing the test-taker with a practical guide to the computer-based TOEFL test (CBT), which was introduced in 1998 as the first step in the broad test-improvement effort under which language testing TOEFL CBT and of the types of questions different from those in the paper-based TOEFL test (PBT). It is suggested that regular study and practice are indispensable for learning a foreign language and that good preparation will help overcome the problems that the test-taker will confront during the test. As such, he or she will achieve a high TOEFL score as desired.
