Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe leisure participation of youths at Suk Samran District, Ranong Province. Population of this study was a group of youths aged between 12-18 in Suk Samran District area. Data were collected by the questionnaire. It was found that almost two thirds of the children and youths were Muslims. The leisure participation at home was watching television at high level; creative activity-singing at high level; most outdoor activity was sports. Should the government organization would like to create extra activity for youths, Thai-Muslim youths should receive particular consideration since they had to study religion. Extra activities should be arranged on Sundays or Inter-semester breaks so that Muslim youths could participate.
