Abstract

     This research investigated and compared the perceptions of student teachers in home economics education and cooperating teachers with regard to learning management competencies in the learner-centered instruction of student teachers in home economics education at Kasetsart University. There were 19 student teachers and 19 cooperating teachers in the study. Data were collected by questionnaires. The data analysis used frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The research results revealed that the learning management competencies in learner-centered instruction as perceived by student teachers and cooperating teachers were rated at a high level. The comparison showed that learning management competencies in learnercentered instruction as perceived by student teachers and cooperating teachers were different. Learning management competencies in learner-centered instruction as perceived by student teachers were lower than those of cooperating teachers.
