Abstract

This research aimed to study the outcomes of biology learning management on the topic of cell division by the creation of clay animation-stop motion by one class of 10th grade students in the first semester of the 2011 academic year. The researchers collected data from classroom observations, a pre-post test completed by students, assessment of presentations and of the students working in groups, and informal interviews with students. The results showed that most students developed their understanding of the scientific conceptions of cell division, increased their presentation skills and group working skills, and had a positive attitude toward science. In addition, these results will be beneficial for science teachers and educators in the development of biology learning management through creating stop motion.
