The ADDIE training model is believed to be a training model with steps that will be applied in the training process to improve the competence of elementary school supervisors because it could adapt to the current changing times. The purpose of this study is to analyze the need for developing the competence of elementary school supervisors, which focuses on improving the overall competence of supervisors and developing supervisory skills independently through the ADDIE model training. This study is conducted using the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, with the ultimate goal of obtaining a description of specific needs, processes, actions, or interactions from the point of view of the elementary school supervisor. The data used are quantitative data from 40 supervisors in the districts of Gowa, Pinrang, Pangkep, and Barru. The results show: (1) elementary school supervisors need to develop personal and social, managerial, academic supervision, evaluation, and research competencies, through training using the ADDIE model to improve their competence; and (2) the initial design for developing the competence of elementary school supervisors through the Model Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation, starting from three-step needs analysis, three-step planning, three-step development, three-step implementation, and three-step evaluation. The results of this study can be used as a reference by researchers, especially those interested in the study of supervisor competency development in the education management process.
