Educational management perspective on project-based learning in collaborative subjects: Case study of student-centered learning (SCL) paradigm in Indonesia
Keywords:
case study, collaborative subjects, educational management, project-based learning, SCL paradigmAbstract
This research aims to examine and analyse in depth how project-based learning is implemented in collaborative science subjects from an educational management perspective. The method used in this research is qualitative research with a case study type. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model includes the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research results show the application of Project-Based Learning in collaboration subjects (social and science subjects) in educational management reviews, including planning, implementation, and evaluation. Student-Centered Learning (SCL) paradigm through PjBL has still needed the involvement of teacher and parents, while it promoted the independency of students in learning activity. The research is limited to social and science collaboration subjects (IPAS). Therefore, it is recommended that further research be conducted on other subjects and another class level to see different interpretations.
