Abstract

This research aimed to study a condition and a guideline of the school curriculum administration under Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area Office 4. The sampling group for this research was 248 persons that included the basic educational administrators and the teachers responsible for an academic head at the basic educational institutes under Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area Office 4. The research instrument was a rating scale questionnaire which had reliability equal to 0.92. The data analysis used percentage, mean, standard deviation and content analysis.

The research result was found as followings: As for the condition of school curriculum administration under Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area Office 4, the general performance had a good level sorting by an average from most to least that included the following aspects: curriculum planning, curriculum implementation, orientation, supervision, curriculum monitoring and evaluation, curriculum improvement and development respectively. As for a guideline of the school curriculum administration, it was found as the following. The basic educational administrators should be an academic leader and focused on the curriculum planning, supervision. The teachers should implement the curriculum into concrete practice continuously. Plus, they should have a meeting and a training to clarify the student’s parents to have knowledge and understanding of the curriculum and the school curriculum assessment. In addition, it should analyze the learner needs to improve school curriculum as well.
