Abstract

This study has objective to 1) Study the cause of the problems in Thai language learning of Prathomsuksa 5 student, and 2) To develop Prathomsuksa 5 student’s Thai language reading and writing skills. The sample for this study is 50 Prathomsuksa 5 students from Jindabamrung school whose study in semester 1, academic year 2558 which comes from purposive sampling method. The instruments that were used in this study are 1) interview form, which receive from 10 Thai language teachers, 2 teachers from each school: Wat Khlong Kluea school, Jindabamrung school, Wat Tri Rattanaram school and Prachapiban school, 2) Thai fables, 3) word reading and writing test, 4) multimedia for students to practice on reading and writing, and 5) pretest-posttest The data were analyzed by using mean (x̄ ), Standard Deviation (SD) and t-test. The result shows that 1) posttest score shows that student has mean score at 14.68 and when compare with pretest’ score, the result shows that posttest score is above 80% criterion with statistically significant difference at .05, and 2) posttest score shows that students has mean score at 14.58 and when compare with pretest’s score, the result shows that posttest score is above 80% criterion with statistically significant difference at .05.
