People's participation in the development of Huay Tha Chang Village, Khao Yoi District, Petchburi Province

This research aims to 1) study the level of community participation in village development in Huai Tha Chang Sub–district, Khao Yoi District, Phetchaburi Province. 2) study the factors affecting the participation of people in Huai Tha Chang Sub-district, Khao Yoi District, Phetchaburi Province. 3) study the factors contributing to the participation of people in relation to people's participation in village development. The sample consisted of 130 people living in Huai Tha Chang Sub- District, Khao Yoi District, Phetchaburi Province. The instruments used in the study were questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as percentage, mean, standard deviation. And inferential statistics are chi-square and multiple regression analysis. The research found that: 1) Factors affecting people participation in overall and individual village development were at the highest level. Such as The Village leaders, cognitive, attitude. And the information perception. 2) The overall participation of people in village development was at the highest level, namely, The Implementation, The Decision Making, The Benefits, and The Evaluation, respectively. 3) Personal characteristics correlated with people’s participation in village development as a whole, including occupation and education at the .05 level of significance, respectively. Monthly income was significantly correlated with participation in decision making and participation in the implementation at the .05 level of significance.
