The Group of Motorcycle Racing Behavior Among Adolescents in Chaibadan District, Lopburi Province

Abstract

The objectives of the study were 1) to study the group of motorcycle racing behavior among adolescents in Chaibadan District Lopburi Province, 2) to find the factors that influence group of motorcycle racing behavior among adolescents in Chaibadan District Lopburi Province by using qualitative research. The informants consist of 3 groups, 4 traffic and suppression police officers, 4 motorcycle accessories shop owners and 15 teenagers in the group of motorcycle racing in Chaibadan District, Lopburi Province. The instrument used were in-depth interview and analyze data content analysis. Research were found that; 1) The group of motorcycle racing behavior among adolescents in Chaibadan District Lopburi Province is a group of adolescent boys who love driving motorcycles around 30-40 people between the ages of 15-28. They have faith and fast driving values for showing ability to gain acceptance from friends and show their ability in the racing group, want to show ability for gaining interest from other people. 2) The factors that influence group of motorcycle racing behavior among adolescents including family support all of the expenses, buying motorcycle, the motorcycle accessories shops have attempted to make trend of racing to create modify racing motorcycle business, a group of wild age friend that loved same challenge and the urban community factor that grouping with friends conveniently. The solutions for the group of motorcycle racing behavior include of 1) promoting driving knowledge 2) providing a standardized motorcycle racetrack, 3) Promoting sense of responsibility among friends of the same age and 4) Need to be rigorous, arrest and punishment for those involved in motorcycle racing in public.
