Efficiency of Waste Management of Lamnarai Municipal Office in Chaibaban District, Lopburi Province

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the effeciency of the waste management of Lamnarai municipal office in Chaibadan District, Lopburi Province 2) compare the efficiency of the waste management of Lamnarai municipal office in Chaibadan District, Lopburi Province 3) study the suggestions on the waste management of Lamnarai municipal office in Chaibadan District, Lopburi Province. The samples were 368 local people living in Lamnarai municipality. The research instrument used in the study was the questionnaires that had the reliability value at 0.895. The results showed that 1) the efficiency of the waste management of Lamnarai municipal office in Chaibadan District, Lopburi Province was at a high level. The aspect that had the highest value was the garbage fee collecting followed by the officers’ service, the waste transportation and the public relation (PR) respectively. 2) the samples’ opinions on the effectiveness of the waste management were not different regardless of their gender, age and level of education as well as the numbers of family member. However, those who had different careers and incomes had distinctive ideas on the efficiency of the waste management of Lamnarai municipality at the statistical significance of .05 3) The suggestions on the waste management were that the garbage categorizing should be promoted in each family, more garbage-buying cars should be provided to help buying sellable garbage in each household, more numbers of the waste collector should be provided and the hygiene of the garbage pits should be improved.
