Abstract

This study focuses on 24 Overseas Chinese Associations in Khon Kaen Province, Thailand, utilizing literature review and fieldwork methods to explore their development history since 1944. The findings categorize the existing associations into five types based on the five relationships: Geographical, Kinship, Religious, Business, and Cultural-Educational. Over the past eight decades, these associations have transitioned from independent modes of operation to a conglomerate model centered around the Khon Kaen 24 Overseas Chinese Associations Fellowship. This collective development has not only strengthened cultural heritage and community cohesion but has also significantly enhanced the influence of Chinese associations in local society.
