Abstract
Applying Appreciative Inquiry to Develop Employee Engagement a Case Study of Rajamangala University of Technology Isan Khon Kaen Campus
This study aimed to investigate the apply Appreciative Inquiry to increase employee engagement within business organization and present the personal manage plan properly in order to promote organization commitment for Rajamangala University of Technology Isan Khonkaen Campus staff. Procedures of this study relied on Appreciative Inquiry. The researcher conducted the study by applying “Happy 8”, the concept of Happy Workplace to Appreciative Inquiry : AI . The Appreciative inquiry was used in this study by conducting AI and “Happy 8”, the concept of Happy Workplace by Thai Health Promotion Foundation. The 15 members shared experience in Happy 8 such as Happy Body, Happy Heart, Happy Society, Happy Relax, Happy Brain, Happy Soul, Happy Money, and Happy Family. Then, applied the positive experience in analyzing and processing guidelines for the development of the engagement.
According to the study AI process by discovery something good and dream together. The projects and activities were designed, in order to achieve the dreams, and divided into 2 types of activities. The first type was activity that can be done at all due to no budget activity such as Activities board, Dawn smiling, Family activities, Merit making , Exercises, and work skill training. The second type was activity that cannot be done due to need for budget should be presented to the administration such as Strengthening the community project, professional training courses for disabilities project and The saving cooperatives project.
