Life in the postmodern era

Abstract

The postmodern life value of respect may include both respect for themselves and those around them. Self-respect involves treating themselves   with kindness and not allowing others to treat their poorly, as well as feeling a sense of pride in them. Treating others with respect may involve accepting people for who they are, even if their beliefs, actions or motivators differ from theirs. They may also find that their desire for respect motivates them to move up in their new career to gain that respect from those around them.
