The Practical approach of development for production and marketing of Thai rice

This academic article proposes 1) the situation and problems of world rice production and marketing, 2) the situation and problems of production and marketing of Thai rice, 3) the rice policy of Thailand, and 4) the practical approach of development for production and marketing of Thai rice.
The collection of various documents reveals that 1) The overall situation of the foreign rice production and marketing has an upward trend. Governments in particular country emphasize primarily on assisting the domestic farmers, principally, the policy implementation or measures regarding maintaining domestic rice prices with high prices, as well as trying to reduce rice imported from foreign countries. 2) From 2016-2018, Thailand has produced the rice ranked sixth in the foreign. Meanwhile, Thai rice exported in 2018 have both quantity and value increase, with the second largest rice exporter from India. 3) Policy related to production and marketing have both positive and negative effects, which cannot be denied that some policy does not correspond with the conditions, context, way of life of farmers. 4) Finally, the practical approach of production and marketing of Thai rice includes systematic water management for production, development of good rice seeds for farmers, and the processing of rice products to create added value, comprising the rice laws to promote the production and marketing of Thai rice etc.
