Abstract

The study on monitoring and evaluating the utilization of research in the development of uninterrupted tailor-made routing system for individual children and youth project had objective to collect findings from the research utilization that has been put into practice in important dimensions and to develop policy recommendation guidelines for supporting project improvement, Which qualitative  research by in depth interview with 20 informants and focus group with 18 iRC social workers selected by purposive sampling. The instrument used were in-depth interview form and group discussion questions and analyzed and perform data validation by using data triangulation method.

The results of monitoring and evaluating the project implementation from the informants were as follows: The project was fully following the project implementation plan with restrictions on tracking children and youth after their release, tracking area as well as enterprise cooperation network that will assist in giving opportunities to children and youth after their release. The key findings from the research were the implementation of the project plays an important role in helping children and youth have the opportunity to return to social life, reduce recidivism and can reduce the number of repeat offenses. In addition, the institution has received cooperation from educational and career networks and gain more social recognition. There are policy suggestions for improving the project as follows: 1) There should be an extension for developing the training center to support the work of IRC social workers. 2) There should be expanded performance by developing social workers in all training centers to participate as social work in IRC. 3) There should be a review of the allocation criteria for the selection of children and youth to participate in the program according to the problem situation. 4) There should be develop activity guides for organizing various activities. 5) There should be development cooperation with the Ministry of Justice and related Institutions in the field of education and careers to expand assistance for children and youth.
