A Study of Mathematics Learning Achievement on Parallel Lines by Cooperative Learning by Using Jigsaw Techniques of Mathayomsuksa 2 Students at Chinoeswittayalai School

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to compare the mathematics learning achievement on parallel lines by using cooperative learning with the jigsaw technique for mathayomsuksa 2 students at Chinoeswittayalai School to compare with the criteria of 60 percent. Sample groups were 36 mathayomsuksa 2/5 students who are studying in the academic year 2019 at Chinoeswittayalai School. The samples were derived from cluster random sampling which there were talent, moderate, and weak levels of students’ proficiency in the same class. Research instruments consisted of a learning management plan on parallel lines for mathayomsuksa 2 students by using the jigsaw technique. 2. Mathematics learning achievement test on parallel lines for mathayomsuksa 2 students. The statistics used to test the hypothesis was the t-test one sample. The results of the study showed that the students’ learning achievement in mathematics on parallel lines by using cooperative learning with the jigsaw technique of mathayomsuksa 2 students at Chinoeswittayalai School passed the criteria of 60% with statistical significance at the level of .01
