The Participatory Administration of School Administrators Affected the Teamwork of Teachers in Schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 10

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1) explore the participatory administration of school administrators 2) determine the teamwork of teachers, and 3) investigate the participatory administration of school administrators affects the teamwork of teachers under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 10.  The samples were 103 administrators and 335 teachers, totaling 438, by stratified simple random sampling. The instrument used for collecting data was a 5 rating scale questionnaire with a reliability of 0.89. The statistics for data analysis were frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis. The research results indicated that: 1.The participatory administration of school administrators overall was at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that the average was at a high level in all aspects, from the most to the least, as follows; setting goals and objectives as a team, having independence in job responsibilities, and having commitment and trust. 2. The teamwork of teachers under The Secondary Educational Service Area Office 10 was at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that the average was at a high level from  the most to the least as follows; having mutual trust, good communication, related skills, supporting internal and external, having a clear goal,  and becoming a better leader. 3.The participatory management of school administrators related to commitment (X2) and trust (X1) affected the teamwork of teachers under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 10. at 31.60 percent with the statistical significance at a .01 level. The prediction equations were as follows:

The prediction equation from the standard data can be written as follows; _tot = .380(X₂)  + .329(X₁)
