Abstract

The purpose of this research study was to study the perceived role of competent officers and study the operations under the authority to assist and protect victims of trafficking in persons under the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act B.E. 2551 (2008). Research methodology is quantitative research. Survey data was collected by using a questionnaire with a sample group, ie, competent officials who have undergone legal competence training courses, civil servants, social workers, social developers,  and psychologists under the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. and inferential statistics i.e. the difference between the variables were analyzed by t-test and F-test/One-way ANOVA. When the difference was found, the pair difference was determined by using the Scheffe test by setting the level of statistical significance at 0.05. The study is as follows.

The results of the study revealed that most of the samples were female, aged between 26-35 years old, graduating with a bachelor's degree, performing work on the protection of the welfare of the victims and the duration of working in human trafficking is not more than 5 years. For an overview of the perception of roles and duties under the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act B.E. high level. As for the overview of the operations under the authority under the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act B.E. 2551 (2008), the competent officials found that as for the overview of the perceptions of the roles and duties under the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act B.E. As for the overview of the operations under the authority under the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act B.E. 2551 (2008), the competent officials found that most of the sample group performed their duties following their authority at a high level. In terms of separating the most victims followed by the practice of victim protection followed by work on repatriation and reintegration and the least amount of first aid operations, The results of the different tests revealed that different sexes had different perceptions of the role of performance. Different ages had different first aid operations, and the nature of work related to helping and protecting the victims is different work following the overall authority and the operation of the first aid is different.
