The purpose of the research was to improve the process of putting parts into the BMC
model car. The study found many complicated steps and problems in the process, causing the
delay in putting parts into the vehicle. Therefore, the researchers improved the packaging process
of the BMC model to reduce the process and improve the work.
After the improvement, it was found that the steps in putting parts into the BMC model
car can be reduced from 25 steps to 15 steps, which can further be reduced to ten steps. When
considering the average time spent on putting the parts into the car, the new process takes less
time, reducing from 184 to 135 seconds. In addition, instead of using four employees to complete
the task, only two employees are required. This, as a result, leads to the reduction of the labor
cost by 540,000 baht per year.
