Comparison of Results 18 Methods of Active Learning Conduct to Analyze Learning Style of The Learners in Higher Education Based on KOLB's Model

Abstract

The purpose of this research were to 1) compare the results of 18 methods of active learning management 2) analyze students' learning style according to Kolb's concept. The sample is Students enrolled in DMD402 Digital Media Presentation Techniques, DMD 100: Introduction to Digital Media and CMM141: Creativity for Communication. Subject lesson inter-chapter script writing 448 students from 2013-2018. Topics from purposive sampling. Tools used in the research consisted of 1) Active Learning Management Plan 18 methods based on Active Learning Spectrum, Michigan University 2) Achievement form and 3) the statistics used to analyze the data were percentage, mean, standard deviation and effect size. The results showed that1) The results of 18 proactive learning management methods of students after learning were higher than before learning at the statistical significance level of .05 The results of the analysis of learners' learning style found that the influence size of students greater than 0.4 means that the learners have improved. First place, the influence size of 0.73 is active learning management with real-world methods work and real situations, students with accommodator learning style. The second rank, the influence size of 0.67, was active learning management with questioning learning method for students with accommodator learning style. Convergence and the third place are active learning management, a learning method, a live drama method. Students with an accommodating learning style.
