The Basic Education Commission's School Management Model for Distance Learning Television (DLTV)

Abstract

The objective of this research is to develop a school management model for administering teaching and learning using Distance Learning via Satellite (DLTV) under the jurisdiction of the Basic Education Commission. The research involves three stages: 1) Studying the current situation, desired conditions, and requirements of school management, 2) creating a school management model, and 3) evaluating the school management model for administering teaching and learning using DLTV under
the jurisdiction of the Basic Education Commission. The study is comprised of 370 administrators, 9 seminar experts, and 30 evaluators. Research tools include questionnaires, data recording forms, and assessment forms. Data analysis involves descriptive statistics such as percentages, means, standard deviations, as well as the analysis of necessary requirements using the modified PNI index and content analysis. The research findings revealed that the name of the model was the Collaborative Management Model for administering schools that conducted teaching and learning through Distance Learning via Satellite (DLTV) under the jurisdiction of the Basic Education Commission. This model consisted of principles, objectives and components of school management, including: 1) Level at which goals were determined 2) Process by which goals were determined 3) Relationship between goals and decisions 4) Nature of decision process 5) Nature of structure 6) Link with environment 7) Style of Leadership 8) Related leadership model.
