Promotion of the basic economic system of the organic farming group Ban Thung Yao, Thasop Sao Sub district, Mae Tha District, Lamphun Province

Abstract

The purposes of this research: 1) to examine and develop the skills of organic farming group in Ban Thung Yao, Thasabsao Subdistrict, Mae Tha District, Lamphun Province, and 2) to explore and develop the organic farming processes to make income and learning resources in Ban Thung Yao, Thasabsao Subdistrict, Mae Tha District, Lamphun Province. This study was the community participation research (PAR) with having population of 30 households, it was consisted of four steps, including spatial data collection, new alternative creation, organic farming development, and community research data synthesis.

          The research results revealed that:

          1) The skill development of organic farming group in Ban Thung Yao, Subdistrict, Mae Tha District, Lamphun Province found that the organic farming group had 4 important skills, including 1. Production system, soil improvement, microbial pesticide production, compost preparation. 2. Product processing and packaging. 3. ญPromotion of external and online markets. And 4. Sustainable management of organic farming groups

          2) Organic farming process to make income and learning resources in Ban Thung Yao, Thasabsao Subdistrict, Mae Tha District, Lamphun Province found that organic farming had 4 issues, including 1) Production system and organic farming through community’s cooperation. 2. Product processing and there were nine standard packaging items, including main trademark, standard brand, product name, product size, product details, product ingredient information, nutritional information, cautionary statements and other information. And 3. Internal marketing mechanisms and online markets found that there were groups of organic farming production, distribution areas, processing various products, and the development of a logo named "Ta Thung Yao Organic Farming".
