Basic Fire Fighting Training Assesment in the Area under Ladkrabang Fire Station

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to assess the knowledge and understanding of trainees who joined the basic fire fighting training course and to study the problem and difficulty of the basic fire fighting training course. The sample consisted
of 400 trainees using basic statistics to analyze the data which are frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The result of the research showed the following; 1. Most of the volunteers are males who are between 26-35 years old with diplomas and no experience in community volunteer. 2. From analyzing, The opinions towards an understanding of trainees who joined the basic fire fighting training course in Ladkrabang Fire Station in 4 different points is at the high level (x̄ = 3.53, SD = .412). When considering them separately, the researchers found that Appropriateness is at the highest mean (x̄ = 3.89, SD = .482), Accurate is at ( x̄= 3.62, SD = .562), Advantage is at ( x̄= 3.34, SD = .616), and Possibility is at ( x̄= 3.32, SD = .616). 3. The problems and obstacles of this research are public relations, training location and equipment, and related cooperation. 4. The recommendation of this research are as followings; 4.1 For the public relation, the project should spread the news more thoroughly and emphasize the importance of it. 4.2 In the part of training location, they should hold the program in a better place and more suitable with the current weather. Also, the program holder should prepare the related equipment for the trainers and trainees. 4.3 For the related cooperation, the program holder should manage to ask for help from the related department. 4.4 Lastly, the trainees should be emphasized to the advantages of joining the program, the basics of fire protection, and how to use and keep the related equipment.
