Creative Pottery of Dan Kwian as The Environment Friendly Product

Abstract

This research is aimed to present production process of the eco-friendly Dan Kwian pottery as a guideline for local pottery entrepreneurs in Dan Kwian community for product development. Followings are the procedures 1. Analyze context of Dan Kwian community and production procedures of Dan Kwian pottery 2. Process knowledge elements from the product survey for environment based on the concept of BCG model in order to create a strategy that will initiate environmental-friendly procedures, and 3. To study the procedure that creates social innovation as a guideline approach to build up pottery production machine which is harmless to environment of the Dan Kwian community, The environmental- friendly production process of the Dan Kwian community consists of 6 procedures as follows 1. Prompts 2. Proposals 3. Prototypes 4. Sustaining  5. Scaling 6. Systemic Change in each procedure consists of a single strategy that leads to the goal which are 1. Procedure - to utilize the resources at utmost benefits 2. Material - to return the waste to the production process and 3. Wisdom, transferring and distributing elements of knowledge to the community, leading to sustainable change and development.
