Abstract

Introduction: Internal educational quality assurance according to the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEx) is a crucial process that helps elevate the quality of higher education. However, to effectively drive quality assurance work, appropriate communication management and participation from all personnel are essential. Research Objectives: 1. To study the communication management of internal educational quality assurance operations according to the quality criteria. 2. To examine implementation for excellence, including studying participation and operational obstacles, and to find appropriate guidelines for communication management. 3. To enhance excellence in educational quality operations.Methodology: This research employed a mixed-method approach combining quantitative and qualitative methods. The sample consisted of 28 administrators, lecturers, and staff in the Faculty of Communication Arts. For the qualitative research, key informants with roles in supervising quality assurance were selected from 5 programs, 2 persons per program, totaling 10 people. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires and interviews. The data was then analyzed using basic statistics such as percentage, mean, and standard deviation, as well as in-depth content analysis. Results: In terms of communication, the university has utilized diverse and modern channels for communicating information, resulting in personnel understanding their roles and recognizing the importance of their work. Regarding participation, most personnel joined relevant activities such as training and meetings. However, obstacles were found in organizational leadership and strategic planning, which require further development. Conclusion: The research indicates that there should be continuous forums for building knowledge and understanding, along with clear long-term plans to drive organizational development. Effective strategic planning should come from analyzing the strengths of benchmarking partners and adapting them. Furthermore, developing comprehensive information systems for both internal and external communication, as well as building morale among personnel, will help foster organizational loyalty and enhance operational efficiency to sustainably meet assessment criteria.
